Beat, beat, beat

We got to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time on Thursday!  It was so amazing....we love him/her so much already.  She warned us that the heartbeat can be hard to find this early (11 weeks), but the second she put the doppler on my belly, we heard the beautiful "whoosh" of our baby's 170bpm heart beat!  I still do not look like a pregnant lady, but I have sure felt like one! From ice cream cravings to morning sickness, I am feeling it all right now.  So far, I have made it through each day of my clinical without getting sick (knock on wood)!  Drew has been so great, I have no clue what I would have done without him these past couple of months.  He has pretty much taken over all of our household chores, and is always trying to find a cure for my morning sickness or run out and grab whatever food I am craving at the moment.  By this point, most of the vital organs are already formed, and the baby is about to take a rapid growth spurt.  I can't wait to feel him/her moving around.  Many updates to come!

Whoa Baby!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!  This Christmas was especially eventful for us, because we got to share the news that we are expecting baby Chaddick in August with our family.  We had to keep the secret for almost a month, but it was well worth it!  We started of having Christmas with my parents in Amarillo.  We gave them a "Grandparents" picture frame with a note inside that said "Baby Chaddick....coming August 2009"!  Here is the footage (please ignore my giggling in the background:)

Next, we were off to Stephenville to tell Drew's parents and sister Sky.

Our last stop was in College Station to tell Aunt Shanda and Uncle Sean.

We can't wait for our new addition to arrive!

Thanks to everyone in our family for such a great Christmas, we love you all!  I plan to post more pics from the holidays soon.
