Get your guns up!

We headed to Lubbock to watch Tech play Texas a couple of weeks ago, and Rush got to see his very first basketball game! He was all smiles until they shut off the lights and the SUPER loud announcer got on the microphone and started to introduce the players. Rush's poor baby eyes got as huge as saucers and he gave me the pouty face (I will post a picture someday) and BROKE DOWN! I quickly took him out into the hall for a few minutes, he calmed down, then we went back into the game. We lasted umm....about 3 minutes until Tech scored, the announcer came back on, and the crowd burst into cheer. Same reaction from Rush, so he hung out in the hall with GC and Papa for most of the game. You can tell from the pictures that he still had a BLAST! The game was good, we had so much fun! Thanks for taking us Mom and Dad, I can't wait until Rush is old enough that I can tell him this story:)

Hanging with GC makes everything better

It was sooo loud Papa, and they all screamed!

1/2 a year

It is amazing to me that 1/2 a year has gone by since Rush was born. We went to the doctor for his well check and found out he is 17.2 pounds and 27 1/2 inches long. He is growing so fast! So far, he is eating rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce, and bananas. He favors the fruit BY FAR, but will tolerate the potatoes or carrots if he tastes them first. I have been thinking about making my own baby food, but it is just so easy to pick up those pre-made packs on our grocery trip:)....maybe someday.......but time has not been on my side lately! I am excited for his first Valentine's day, my mom got him this cute "heartbreaker" jacket. He is still toothless, but the faucet is definitely on non-stop and he is gnawing on just about everything. Maybe soon? I guess I have never looked at a toothless baby's gums closely, but you can see the outlines of all the teeth underneath them. He is sitting up pretty well and rolling all over the place. He has been pushing up on his hands and kicking his feet vigorously while he is on his belly......it won't be long until he's on the move, so baby-proofing here we come! On another note, we finally got settled into our new house and we are LOVING it. Just in time to have a garage before the big snows we have gotten! I have some cute videos from this month, but will have to load them another time.
