XIT Parade

For those of you who are not from the panhandle, the XIT ranch rodeo is a big deal in Dalhart, TX. My mom grew up in Dalhart and we still have lots of family there, so we decided to head north and take Rush to his first parade! It was a good time. He caught lots of candy, ate smarties with Papa, and ate his first popsicle! After the parade, we headed to my Grandma and Grandad's and ate delicious burgers and homemade ice cream. Rush LOVES ice....it takes nothing more than a single cube to cheer him up from even the worst of moods. So you can imagine his excitement to have a popsicle and homemade ice cream in the same day:) Thanks for having us Dalhart crew, hope to see you again soon.

Rush Bear

Just wanted to write a post of what my bleach blonde baby has been up to lately so I don't forget. He is wearing 12-18 month clothing. He LOVES playing in the water, especially in his new water table. He is not walking yet, but he has been running with his push toys for the past week! He is starting to repeat words and will say a few: hi, bye, mama, dada, BITE, papa, GC, car. He has become quite the little ham and will laugh, clap, and wave on demand. I love that his personality is already starting to come out. He is sweet, independent, and playful. He loves to give and get hugs and kisses even if the kisses sometimes come from Caesar.....(I'm trying to get over my OCD about that, I'm pretty sure they have shared more than a few cheerios this week) We are so proud of him and continue to be amazed that God would bless our family with him.

The Big ONE!

This big boy turned one July 30th (yes I am posting almost a month late!) We had a great time celebrating, thanks to everyone who made his day special.

Rush was in a great mood for his party! He laughed and played with family....

He opened presents

And ate cake!!
My sis and Sean came all the way from Houston to be here on Rush's birthday which was so special! We also had *almost our whole family come from Dalhart, it was a great time!
